Priya Kannadigare,
Namaskara,
More than three hundred members attended the Children's Day program. More than 100 kids provided a quality entertainment program. I would like to congratulate all of the children who enthusiastically participated in the Arts, Poetry, Short Essay and Sports recognition contests.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the participants, coordinators, and volunteers for their support in making this event a successful one. Also my sincere thanks to our donors for the program: Mrs. Padmini & Krishniah Murthy for the beautiful Trophies, Dr. Veena & Mr. Manjunath Vadmal, and Mrs. Mamatha Neelakanta for sponsoring the program.
I would like to thank Mrs. Aruna Hatti for her motivational speech on "Preparing Our Children for the Future", based on her own experience as a first-generation Indian American.
I would like thank Trader Joe’s and all the members for their generous donations towards the Flood relief fund which made it possible to reach our goal of $1000.00. (Total amount raised $1259.00). My whole hearted thank to Mr. Srinivasa Murthy CFO of ASTI for his matching donation. This will help to build a house for one family!
My special thanks to Mukund Halthore and Arun Gowri for their patience in handling the sound system for the entire program and providing the audience with the highest sound quality.
Last but not least, I would like to thank all of our KCA Directors and Youth Committee members for their hard work, dedication and cooperation.
Our next event "Natakotsava" is on February 27, 2010. Please mark your calendars. Natakotsava will be held in the Valley. Shivakumar Gowder will be the coordinator for the Natakotsava. Additional details are forthcoming.
Best wishes for the Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.
Dhanyavadagalu,
Amrutha Basavapatna
