Call for Articles and Advertisements.

SANGAMA, the annual KCA-SC publication, is due to be published in April 2010 and distributed to KCA-SC members and businesses at the UGADI festival. This is to request members to contribute articles and/or photographs and/or advertisements no later than February 10th, 2010. Early submission of articles and advertisements is greatly appreciated.

Greetings and advertisements from the members are highly appreciated. Members are sincerely requested to support the cost of publication and if possible sponsor for partial/entire publication.

Guidelines for submission of ARTICLES:

1. The articles must be in Kannada from Adults.

2. The articles from youth may be in Kannada or English.

3. Articles must be in MS Word format with double spacing for easy reading, limited length to four (4) printed pages.

4. Articles in English must be Arial Font, Font size equal to 10 or greater.

5. Articles in Kannada must be in Baraha 6.0, BRH Kannada font, font size 12.

6. Articles may be short stories, poems, quotations, essays, humorous articles, or other materials of general interest to members.

7. No more than two articles per author will be accepted.

8. The editorial board will review all materials, and reserves the right to modify, edit, reformat, publish or reject submitted written articles and/or photographs.

Guidelines for submission of ADVERTISEMENTS:

1. Full page advertisement is $100.00 and half-page add is $50.00 (personal like Ugadi Greetings)

2. Full page advertisement is $250.00 and half-page add is $150.00 (Business)

3. Call for Sangama Front Page Design: Please submit either a hand drawn drawing or an electronic file (at least 600 dpi resolution) of a picture depicting our KCA culture. If selected, the winner will get $50 cash prize and will be recognized in Sangama and on-stage from a dignitary or a celebrity present at the Ugadi function.

4. Call for one page report from centers' coordinators where KCA children or adult members involved in teaching or training any KCA related culture activities. The activities include but not limited to Kannada language, drama, songs, bhajans, dance, yoga, etc. Please limit to one page including a photo or a picture.

5. We welcome volunteers (adults and youth) for coordinating, contributing and collecting articles for Sangama Publication and to raise funds.

Members suggestions and support are always welcome.
